12-24V Dash Cam Hard Wire Kit with Low-Voltage Cutoff

Main Features

  • Hardwires a dash cam to your car, truck, bus or big rig
  • Accepts 12V to 24V and outputs a constant 5V at 1000mA
  • Connect to the battery for constant power or the ignition for power only when the vehicle is on
  • Automatic cutoff below 11.6V on 12V vehicles or 23.2V on 24V vehicles
  • 4.5-foot cable to the battery and 7.5-foot USB cable to the dash cam
  • Low 2 to 2.5W power consumption
  • Red LED shows the kit's status at a glance

The zWireKit hardwires your dash cam directly to your car, truck, bus or big rig. The long cables can be concealed along and around the dashboard for a clean install, with nothing plugged into the 12V socket.

Connect it one of two ways. Wired directly to the battery, it gives your dash cam constant power around the clock, so you can have video evidence if someone hits, scratches or vandalizes your vehicle while it is parked. Wired to the ignition, it powers the camera only when the vehicle is on.

The kit accepts 12V to 24V from almost any vehicle and converts it to a constant 5V at 1000mA, the power a USB dash cam needs. It draws just 2 to 2.5W while running.

A smart low-voltage detection system looks after your battery. If the voltage drops below 11.6V on a 12V vehicle or 23.2V on a 24V vehicle, the kit cuts power to the dash cam so there is still enough charge to start the vehicle, and the red LED goes out. When the voltage returns to normal, power to the dash cam comes back on.

The zWireKit connects with a Mini USB plug and is compatible with the zBlackBox 2000HD dash cam.

Constant or Ignition Power

Wire the zWireKit directly to the battery and your dash cam gets constant power, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Wire it to the ignition instead and the camera runs only when the vehicle is on.

zWireKit

Automatic Low-Voltage Cutoff

The smart detection system shuts off power to your dash cam when the battery drops below 11.6V on a 12V vehicle or 23.2V on a 24V vehicle, so there is still enough charge to start up. When the voltage returns to normal, power to the dash cam comes back on.

Clean, Hidden Install

Long Cables Tuck Along the Dashboard

Hardwired Power, Battery Protected.

The zWireKit connects your dash cam straight to your vehicle's electrical system, so it powers up without a plug in the 12V socket.

Wire it to the battery for constant power around the clock, or to the ignition so the camera runs only when the vehicle is on. Either way, the 4.5-foot and 7.5-foot cables are long enough to conceal along the dashboard.

A built-in low-voltage cutoff shuts off the dash cam before the battery runs too low to start the vehicle, then restores power when the voltage returns to normal.

zWireKit

Works on 12V and 24V Vehicles

The kit accepts 12V to 24V, so it suits cars, SUVs, trucks, buses and big rigs. It converts that to a constant 5V at 1000mA, the power a USB dash cam needs.

zWireKit

Long Cables for a Clean Install

A 4.5-foot cable reaches the battery and a 7.5-foot USB cable reaches the dash cam. There is enough length to route the wires along and around the dashboard and keep them out of sight.

zWireKit

Status at a Glance

A red LED on the module shows what the kit is doing. When it is lit, the kit is working normally. When it goes out, the voltage is low and power to the dash cam has been cut automatically.
